David Odell Oates , 81, of 3750 River Road. Vanceboro. died Thursday, June 12,2019 at Johnston Medical Center.

He was born April 2, 1938 in Duplin County, North Carolina

Funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, June 23,2019 at St. James Church of Christ Disciples of Christ

Burial will follow in the Staton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

The family will assemble at the residence in preparation for the funeral procession.

Arrangements are by the Trinity Memorial Funeral Home, Kinston.
