Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Bishop Virgil Loftin, 81, of Kinston, who died on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at his residence.
Bishop Loftin was born on September 4, 1944, to the late Clifton Loftin and Annie Bell Williams Loftin.
He leaves to cherish his memory and continue his legacy of faith: his devoted wife of 61 years, Lady Geraldine Loftin; two sons, Virgil Loftin and Michael Loftin; one daughter, Crystal Loftin; six beloved grandchildren; two precious great-grandchildren; three sisters, Veda Swinney, Annette Whitehead, and Joyce Raspberry; two brothers, Clifton Loftin, Jr. and Anthony Loftin and a host of nieces, nephews, spiritual sons and daughters, the Mt. Calvary Church family, and countless friends.
The Service of Remembrance honoring his life and legacy will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, November 1, 2025, in the sanctuary of Church of Faith and Deliverance, 655 Sussex St. Kinston, NC
Burial will follow in the Mills Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Friday, October 31, 2025, at the funeral home and will resume one hour prior to the service.
