Deacon Hoyal Miller

Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mr. Hoyal Miller, 98 of New Bern, NC, formerly of Dover, who died July 18, 2025, at his residence.

He was born January 26, 1926, in Jones County, to the late Jesse Miller and Creacy Green Miller.

His legacy lives on through his children: Charles Frank Brown (Mary Lena) of Suffolk, VA; Peggy Ann Herring of Parsonsburg, MD; Zara Brown of New Bern, NC, Reverend Mary Moore (Reverend Levi) of Pollocksville, NC, Thurman H. Miller of Dover, NC,  Elwanda Scales (Leon) of Summerville, SC and Pamela Yelverton-Farrow of LaGrange, NC; one brother, Derone Brown of Kinston, NC; one devoted goddaughter, Henrietta Raynor of Goldsboro, NC; two godsons, Reginald Prather (Felicia) of Clayton, NC and Jonathan Prather of Goldsboro, NC; 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, beloved church family, and friends.

The Service Honoring his life and legacy will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 26, 2025, from the sanctuary of Northwest "A" Freewill Baptist Conference Tabernacle.

Burial will follow at Haiti Cemetery Trenton, NC.

Inspirational Wake will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Friday, July 25, 2025, at Trinity Funeral Service Memorial Chapel.
