Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life and legacy of Deaconess Thelma Cox Carr, 91 of 617 Harris Street, Cove City, NC that transition from labor to reward on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern.

Thelma was born August 15, 1932, in Craven County to the parentage of the late Frank Cox and Aver Smith Cox.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann Carr of the home: one sister, Lula Mae Brown of Cove City and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

The Service celebrating her life and legacy will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, October 28, 2023, from the sanctuary of Bryant Chapel AME Zion Church 504 N. Main Street, Cove City.

Burial will follow in the Bryant Chapel Church Cemetery

Deaconess Carr will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church.
