Elder Joan Carolyn (Andrews) Tilghman

Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Elder Joan Tilghman, 77of Kinston, died Monday, April 15, 2024, at ECU Health, Greenville, NC 

Elder Tilghman was born May 27, 1946, to the late Clarence Andrews and Lillie Bell Strayhorn

She is survived by her husband, Alex Carnell Tilghman of the home; two daughters, Carnella Tilghman of Kinston and Candace Tilghman-Rouse of Ayden, NC; one brother, Stacy Andrews of Kinston, NC; and two grandchildren. 

The service celebrating her life and legacy will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, April 21, 2024, from the memorial chapel of Trinity Funeral Service 1276 US HWY 258 N. Kinston, NC 

Burial will follow in the Mills Memorial Gardens. 

In honoring the wishes of Elder Joan Tilghman there will be no public viewing and the family will not receive visitors at the home. 

Arrangements are by Trinity Funeral Service of Kinston.
