Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mr. Johnnie C. Deaver, 78 of Richlands, died on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro.
He was born January 7, 1947, in Onslow County to the late Velmon and Ethel Louise Canady.
Johnnie is survived by his wife, Reekitta Brunton Deaver of Kinston; one son, Billy Deaver of Durham, NC; one daughter, Cierra J. Brunton of Kinston, NC; five Brothers, Velmon L. Canady, Jr. of Columbia, SC, Wilbert W. Canady of Richlands, Stephen C. Canady of Columbia, SC, Frankie L. Canady of Fredericksburg, VA and Tracey L. Canady of Dixon, CA; two sisters, Theresa C. Singleton of Columbia, SC, Tonya R. Canady of Upper Marlboro, MD, and Brenda Deaver Miller of Jacksonville, NC; nine grandchildren. along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Trinity Funeral Service.
The service celebrating his life and legacy will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in the sanctuary of the J.T. Kerr Memorial Baptist Church 150 L P Willingham Parkway,Jacksonville, NC
The sacred burial will follow in the Onslow Memorial Park.
The family will assemble at the residence in preparation for the funeral procession.
