Join us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mr. Clifford Earl Hargett, Sr., 70, formerly of Cove City, who passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at his residence in Chesterfield, VA.

Cliff was born on September 13, 1954, to DeVonia Bell Hargett Clark and the late Elisha L. Kornegay.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his mother, DeVonia Bell Hargett Clark; two sons, Clifford E. Hargett, Jr. of Jacksonville, NC and Brandon D. Hargett of Richmond, VA; three brothers, Franklin E. Clark, Demitri Kornegay and Darryl Kornegay; one sister, Mona L. Reno; three grandchildren, Raven G. Hargett, Deryn D. Hargett, and Phoenix C. Hargett; special friend, Adriene Mines; former wives and mother of his children, Angela D. Garris and Connie H. Hargett; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Bryant Chapel AME Zion Church, 506 N. Main Street, Cove City, NC.

The service celebrating his life and legacy will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025, in the sanctuary of the Northwest "A" Conference Free Will Baptist Tabernacle 682 10 Mile Fork Rd, Trenton, NC

Burial will follow in the Bryant Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery, Cove City.

The family will assemble at the residence of Mrs. Vonia Bell Clark 10900 Old US HWY 70 W. Cove City, NC in preparation for the funeral procession.
