Mr.Elbert "Buddy" Smith Jr.

Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mr. Elbert Smith Jr. ,70, of 894 State Camp Road, Vanceboro died Saturday, February 4,2023 while in the care of CarolinaEast Medical Center. 

Elbert was born July 6, 1952, in Craven County to the parentage of the late Elbert Smith Sr. and Doris Bryant. 

He leaves behind his life partner, Glenda Wooten; three children, Sabrina Wooten of Vanceboro, Dwayne Wooten of Virginia and Ebony Wooten of New Bern; one brother Gregory Smith of Vanceboro, four sisters, Jacquelyn Moore of Washington, NC, Rosemary Smith of New Bern, NC, Darlene Singleton of Vanceboro, NC, Audrey Robertson of New Bern, NC; and 11 grandchildren.

The service celebrating his life and legacy will be held 1:00 PM Friday, February 10, 2023, from the Sanctuary of Mt. Mariah Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in the Bryant Family Cemetery, Cove City. 

Public viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. 

The family will receive guest at 120 Meadowview Dr. New Bern
