Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mr. Herman Newberne, 83, of Pink Hill died on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at his residence.
Herman was born August 7, 1941, in Duplin County to the parentage of the late Lawrence Newberne and Katherine Simmons
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Newberne, of the home; four daughters: Beverly Newberne (Dean) of Magnolia, NC, Belinda Johnson (Gerald) of Corona, CA, Valerie Cox (Anthony) of Goldsboro, NC, and April Bradley of Pink Hill, NC; one son, Reginald Newberne (Donna) of Durham, NC; two sisters, Mildred Green of Pink Hill and Clementine Newberne of Kinston; and one brother, Eugene "Billy" Newberne of Pink Hill. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The service remembering his life and legacy will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 17, 2024, from the sanctuary of the Sandy Plain Original Free Will Baptist Church 949 NC-241, Pink Hill, NC
Burial will follow in the Branch Family Cemetery, Pink Hill
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Friday, August 16, 2024, at the funeral home and will resume one hour prior to the service.
