Mr.Hezekiah Hargett

Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mr. Hezekiah Hargett, 81 of 419 Hargett St. Cove City, NC died Thursday, December 6, 2023, at SECU Crystal Coast Hospice House in New Port, North Carolina 

Hezekiah was born in Craven County on March 10, 1942, to the parentage of the late Hezekiah Hargett Sr. and Estella Mitchell Hargett

He is survived by three brothers, Daniel Hargett of Cove City, NC, Archie Hargett of Trenton NC and Alden Hargett of Cove City, NC; two sisters, Rebecca Hargett of Brooklyn, NY and Stella Hargett of Parkville, MD; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. 

The service celebrating his life and legacy will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 17, 2023, from the sanctuary of Bryant Chapel AME Zion Church.

Burial will follow in the Bryant Chapel Church Cemetery.

Mr. Hargett will lie in state from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Bryant Chapel AME Zion Church and will resume one hour prior to the service.

The family will assemble at the residence in preparation for the funeral procession.
