He was born on August 18, 1935 in Newport News,VA to the late parentage of the late Enoch Samuels and Connie Smalls Samuels.

He leaves to cherish his memories his two daughters, Kellye Wooten of Kinston, NC and Crystal Milligan of Clinton, MD. Stepson, Mark Benson of Jacksonville, Fl, one Sister, Bobbie Jean Marrow of Hampton, VA; two grandchildren and two great-children
