Mr. James Daniel Abrams

Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mr. James Abrams, 81, of Cove City, died Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at his residence. 

He was born January 1, 1943, in Bertie County to the late Milton and Margaret Abrams. 

James is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Carolyn Becton Abrams of the home; eight children: Leticia Abrams of Bronx, NY; Felicia Grant of Waterbury, CT; James Abrams and Anthony Abrams of Phoenix, AZ; Roxanne Abrams of Hesperia, CA; Nausha Abrams of the home; Arthur Abrams of New Bern, NC; and Ellen Hargett of Dover, NC; one sister, Lena Abrams of Bronx, NY; 26 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren

The Celebration of Life will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, December 14, 2024, from the sanctuary of the Bryant Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. 504 N. Main Street, Cove City, NC. 

Burial will follow in the Bryant Chapel Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the residence where they will assemble in preparation for the funeral cortege.

Mr. Abrams will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. 

James touched countless lives with his unwavering dedication, kindness, and faith.

His legacy will forever remain in the hearts of his family and community.
