Mr. James Roberson III

Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mr. James Roberson 46, of Durham, NC, formerly of New Bern, NC.

James was born December 3, 1976 in Craven County to Helen Person and the late James Lee Roberson Jr. 

He is survived by his wife, Sirkera McConner Roberson of the home; mother and bonus father, Helen Person and Reverend Horace Person of New Bern, NC; ten children, Tashawn Roberson of Mounds View, MN, Tranarius McConner of the home, James “Brandon Lee” Roberson of New Bern, NC, Joshua Roberson and Samuel Roberson of the home, Diamond Tripp of Winston Salem, NC, Brittney McConner  of Jacksonville, NC, Lauryn Roberson of Tallahassee, Fl, Jayda Roberson and   Sheyla Roberson of the home; grandmothers, Della Roberson of Charlotte, NC and Clementine “Pig” White of Dover, NC; sisters, Tantaline  Bellamy of Fayetteville, NC, Latoria Hudson of Vanceboro., NC and Kimberly Hill of the home; Ruby McConner of Huntsville, AL Shandra Moore  of Raleigh, NC and six grandchildren.

The service celebrating his life and legacy will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 24, 2023, from the Sanctuary of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in the New Bern Memorial Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held from one hour prior to the service at the church

The family will receive guest at 3114 Kingston Park Dr. New Bern where they will assemble for the funeral procession.
