United with the family in prayer and solemn gratitude for a life faithfully lived, we honor the memory of Mr. Jesse Best, 75, of Kinston, transitioned Friday, February 13, 2026, peacefully while in the comfort of his home. 

Mr. Best leaves to cherish his enduring legacy: his beloved wife, Veronica Best; four children, Tonya McMillan (Dennis), Tracie Williams, Jessie L. Best, Jr. (Shelly), and Demetrius L. Best; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard J. Best (Arleen); along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loyal friends who will forever honor his memory.
