Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mr. John Best, 78, of Kinston, died on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at his residence.

The service celebrating his life and legacy will be held 12Noon Monday, October 23, 2023, from the sanctuary of New Birth Holy Church 3308 Banks School Rd, Kinston, NC 28504

Burial will follow in the Best Broadhurst Cemetery, Seven Springs, NC.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Best of the home; one brother, Elder Nathaniel Best of Goldsboro, NC; five children, Laura Ann Brown of Killeen, TX, John Allen Best, Jr. and Sheila Best Rouse of Goldsboro, NC, Gregory Levon Best of Kinston, NC, Jonthan Ross of Pikeville, NC; five stepchildren, Michael Sutton of Richmond, VA, Edward Sutton of  Rocky Mount, NC, Christopher Best of Goldsboro, NC, Taquita Jones of Kinston, NC and Cornelius Chadwick of Raleigh, NC; 16 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
