Mr. Lawrence McPhail

Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mr. Lawrence McPhail, 83, died October 3, 2024, at UNC Lenoir healthcare.

Lawrence was born August 17, 1941, in Sampson County to the late John L. McPhail and Hannah Janie Butler.

He is survived by his wife of 57yrs Mrs. Daisy Wynn McPhail; five children, Pamela M. Ivey of Ayden, NC, Lorraine Thomas of Kinston, NC, Sonya M. Brady of Lancaster, PA, Charles McPhail of Kinston, NC and Lawrence McPhail of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Doris Thompson of Kinston, NC and Naomi M. Best of Greensboro, NC; along with a host of host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews' other relatives and friends. 

The service celebrating his life and legacy will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, October 12, 2024, from the Memorial Chapel of Trinity Funeral Services 1276 US HWY 258 N. Kinston, NC 

Burial will follow in the Browntown Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. McPhail will lie in state for public viewing one hour prior to the service.
