Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mr. Lester Earl Moore,Jr. 71, of New Bern, who transitioned Friday, February 20, 2026, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
Lester was born May 14, 1954, to the late Ernestine Carmon and Lester Moore, Sr.
He is survived by his fiancée, Mamie Jones of New Bern, NC; five children, Lester Moore, III of Jacksonville, NC, Jermaine Lofton of New Bern, NC, Latisha Bayne-s of Washington, DC, Earlene Moore of Jacksonville, NC and Donnie Morris of New Bern, NC; six siblings, Jerry Moore (Tania) of Fredericksburg, VA, Sebenia Moore (James Darnell) of Kinston, NC, Linster Carmon of Dover, NC, Audrey Swinson (Alvin) of Jasper, NC, Marc Moore (Jackie) and Cheryl Moore, both of Washington, DC; one aunt, Susie Quinerly of Baltimore, MD; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins, family and friends.
The service remembering his life and legacy will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, March 16, 2026, in the sanctuary of Union Missionary Baptist Church, 1214 Raleigh St., New Bern, North Carolina
Public viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
