Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mr. Matthis Zacharial Sharpless, 94, of Jacksonville, NC died July 6, 2025, at New Hanover Reginal Hospital, Wilmington, NC.

A Public Viewing will be held from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Trinity Funeral Service, this will be followed by a wake from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, where reflections and tributes will be shared in honor of his life.

The Celebration of Life and Legacy, honoring his devotion, service to God, and commitment to humanity, will take place at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 13, 2025, in the sanctuary of St. Lewis Missionary Baptist Church, 168 Pickett Bay Road, Chinquapin, North Carolina.

Burial will follow 12:00 Noon Monday, July 14, 2025, in the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville
