Mr. Rufus Lee Ferguson

Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Rufus Ferguson, 85 of Dover died on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at his residence.

Rufus was born October 22, 1939, in Fayette County, West Virgina to the late Percy Ferguson and Amelia Thomas.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn White Ferguson of the home; six children: Darrell Ferguson of Perryfield, MD; Keiviet Ferguson and Zelda Ferguson, both of Washington, DC; Jerry White of Goose Creek, SC; Ronald McRae of Glendale, AZ; and Nicole McRae of Raleigh, NC; one sister, Diana Ferguson of Waldorf, MD; fifteen grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

The service remembering his life and legacy will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from the Memorial Chapel of Trinity Funeral Service 1276 US HWY 258 N. Kinston, NC 

Burial will follow in the Sandhill Church Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM Monday, July 21, 2025, at Trinity Funeral Service and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
