Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mr. Wendell Simmons, age 74, died on Monday, July 29, 2024, at University Health, Oxford, NC.
Wendell was born on April 29, 1950, to the late Leroy Simmons and Laura Dove Simmons in Jones County, NC.
He is survived by one daughter, Erica Roberson of Dover, NC; one son, Demarcus Simmons of Henderson, NC; four sisters, Norma McBynum, Gwendolyn Simmons of Kinston, NC, Zelda Wynn of Greenville, NC and Cecilia Watson, Suffolk, VA. six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephew, close relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Memorial Chapel of Trinity Funeral Service. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at the Mitchell Fellowship Center, located at 350 Silo Road, Dover, NC.
