Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mrs. Annie Yelverton, 82 of Lagrange, died on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
Annie was born February 28, 1942, to the late Eva Mae Blount and Robert Exum.
She is survived by five children, Jacqueline Bell of Kinston, NC, Bertha Carr (Curtis) of La Grange, NC, Carolyn Sutton (Samuel) of Freemont, NC, Thomas Yelverton of La Grange, NC and Trenton Williams of Kinston, NC; four sisters, Mary Blount of Brooklyn, NY; Joyce Blount of La Grange, NC, Apostle Bernice Kenon of Goldsboro, NC, Sandra Sutton of Kinston, NC, Eldress Linda Mumford (Larry) of Kinston, NC; three brothers, Edwin Exum of Houston, Texas, Carrell Blount of Goldsboro, NC and Herman Blount of Kinston, NC; two aunts, Dixie Lee Blount of Goldsboro, NC and Helen Batts of Wilson, NC;
Mrs. Yelverton will lie in state for public viewing on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the funeral home, with an additional viewing one hour prior to the service.
A service celebrating her life and legacy will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of St. James Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, LaGrange.
Interment will follow at St. Matthew Church Cemetery.
The family will receive relatives and friends at 101 Taylor St, Apt. A, LaGrange, NC, where they will also gather in preparation for the funeral procession.
At the family's discretion, the service will not be live-streamed.
