Mrs. Barbara Elizabeth Davis

God is the keeper of our mind and soul and even in times of grief and sorrow His love and strenght can make us whole.

Barbara Elizabeth Davis was born February 27,1957 to the late Jessie Davis, Liddle Bell Hawkins, and Cora Sutton Davis.

She was educated in the Lenoir County Public Schools. She had the pleasure of being employed with Guardian Care Nursing Home, Piedmont Airlines and the Hampton Inn until her health began to decline.

Barbara had a heart of gold and a soft spot for her family. To know Barbara was to love her, she enjoyed shopping and keeping her nails professionally done. She was dedicated to her kids and especially her grandchildren, they could get the world from her if she could give it to them.

On Thursday, February 2, 2023, while in the care of ECU Health, Greenville, our dear Barbara Elizabeth Davis was called home from earthly labor unto eternal rest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Davis Jr., siblings, Leon Davis, Kenneth Davis, James Hawkins, Evelyn Sutton, Betty Jean Hawkins, and Betty Louis Davis.

Barbara met and fell in love with Michael Davis Sr., and they united in marriage on October 14, 1977. To this union they were blessed with five children. She leaves behind her, husband, Michael Davis Sr. of the home; four children, Curtis Davis (Kim), Kinston, NC; Donell Davis (Aimee) of Fayettville, NC; Kamikka Davis (Kristian) of Kinston, NC and Jessie Davis (Monacita) of Clayton, NC; daughter-in-law, Shauntay Davis of Kinston, NC; she was overjoyed and rewarded for being a grandmother, mother, friend to a village, leaving such a rich legacy of grands, great grands, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
