Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mrs. Dorothy Gray Brown Williams, 90, of Grifton, died on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at her residence.
Dorothy was born February 15, 1934, the parentage of the late Elijah Harper and Lucinda Brown.
She is survived by her ten children, Willis Earl Brown of Frederick, MD, Dorothy Pearl Kilpatrick of Goldsboro, NC, Alice Brown of Washington, DC, Jerry Williams of Grifton, NC, Patricia Carson of Yorktown, VA, Diane Mills of Kinston, NC, Ricky Williams of Hopewell, VA, Cynthia Williams of the home, Linsday Williams of Grifton, NC, Lisa Williams of Kinston, NC; five step children, Linda Faye Mumford of Ayden, NC, Evelyn Bryant of Kinston, NC, Sandra Heath of Rochester, NY, Alfreda Cogdell of Snow Hill, NC, and Reginald Brunston of Kinston, NC. 26 Grandchildren, 64 Great Grandchildren, 24 Great Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephew, relatives, and friends.
The service remembering her life and legacy will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 14, 2024, from the sanctuary of the Church of Faith and Deliverance 655 Sussex St, Kinston, NC 28504
Burial will follow in the Mills Memorial Gardens, Kinston
Mrs. Williams will lie in state for public viewing Friday, September 13, 2024, from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM at the funeral home and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
The family will receive guest at the residence where they will assemble for the funeral procession.
