Mrs Ethel Loretha (Baker) Jones

Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mrs. Ethel Jones, 90, died on Sunday, January 19, 2024, at Greendale Forest Nursing Home of Snow Hill, NC.

Ethel was born December 13, 1934, to the late Simon Johnson and Gertrude Baker Black. 

She is survived by her children, Mary Walker of Irvington, NJ, Esther Baker of Kinston, NC, Debra Hargett of Cove City, NC, Joyce Latham of New Bern, NC, Reginald Latham of Cove City, NC Wanda Greene and Nedra Gooding (George) all of Kinston, NC, Antonio Jones (Penny) of Fredericksburg, VA and James Cameron (Eloise) one daughter of the heart, Pastor Janice Sparrow of Kinston, NC; two sisters, Lorizta Holly of Kinston, NC and Shelby Black of Washington, DC; three brothers, Jimmy Black and Carrol Ray Black of Kinston, NC and Edward Johnson of La Grange, NC; along with a host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. 

The service celebrating her life and legacy will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, January 25, 2025, from the Memorial Chapel of Trinity Funeral Service. 1276 US HWY 258 N. Kinston, NC

Burial will follow in the Southview Cemetery

Visitation will be from 5:00PM -7:00 PM Friday, January 24, 2025, at the funeral home and will resume one hour prior to the service. 

The family will welcome guests at the residence of Wanda Greene, 608 Madison Ave. Kinston, where they will also gather in preparation for the funeral procession.
