Karren was born August 2, 1963, to the late Jimmie Thompson Jr. and Jacquelyn Mills Thompson.

The Memorial Service Honoring her life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Jasper Haynes Omega Center, 800 Cedar Street, New Bern
