Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Mrs. Margie Strong-Truesdale, 96 of Washington, DC formerly of Vanceboro died Friday, March 8, 2024.
Margie was born March 15th, 1927, to the late Andrew Strong and Rosa Bland Strong in Craven County, North Carolina.
She is survived by her daughter, Michele Williams of Washington, DC; her nieces and nephews, Robert “Pete” Manley of New Jersey, Evelyn Manley Rogers of New York, John Lewis Jr (Johnny) Bryan of Vanceboro, NC, Pearl Bryan of Burlington, NC and Bonnie Bryan Watlington of Burlington NC, Angela Strong of Washington, DC, Leother “Mike” Strong of La Plata Md and Kathleen Strong Hawkins of Washington, DC; and a host of cousins and friends.
The service celebrating her life and legacy will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 23, 2024, from the sanctuary of the Queen Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the Bland Cemetery.
Mrs. Strong-Truesdale will lie in state for public viewing one hour prior to the service at the church.
