She was born February 11, 1950, in Jones County to Mary J. Koonce and the late Joseph Koonce
Mary is survived by her mother, Mary J. Koonce; three children, Daris L Koonce, Lenora Wesley and Tuanna Koonce all of New Bern, NC. Fiancé Carlton Simmons of New Bern, NC; six sisters, Cora Boyd of Chicago IL, Annie K. Ballard and Karen Koonce Hamilton both of New Bern, NC; Sandra K. Goodwin all of New Bern,NC, Lorriane Koonce of Fayetteville, NC and Cynthia K. Coon of High Point, NC; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren
The Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 20, 2023, from the Sanctuary of Pilgrim Chapel Free Will Baptist Church 2420 NC-55, New Bern, NC 28562
Mrs. Green will lie in repose for public viewing one hour prior to the service.
