Mrs.Mavis Kilpatrick-Brimage

The days of our years are threescore years and ten.

And if by reason of strength they be fourscore years,

With hearts bowed in prayer, we pause to honor the life and legacy of Mrs. Mavis Kilpatrick Brimage, age 95, of Dover, "Ft. Barnwell Community", who was called from labor to rest on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at her residence.

Mavis was born May 3, 1930, in Craven County, North Carolina to the late George R. Kilpatrick Sr. and Mother Priscilla Bryant Kilpatrick 

She is survived one son, Calvin Brimage of the home; four grandchildren, Julian Tilghman of Kinston, NC, Tawana Tilghman of Dover, NC; Rosalind Jones of New Bern, NC; Stanley Tilghman, Dover, NC,one sister, Yvonne Kilpatrick of the home, two brothers, George R. Kilpatrick, Jr. of Greensboro, NC and Dietrich I. Kilpatrick of Dover, NC; six great grandchildren four great great children. 

The service remembering her life and legacy will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 20, 2025, in the Memorial Chapel of Trinity Funeral Service 1276 US HWY 258 N. Kinston, NC

Mrs. Brimage will lie in state for family visitation and viewing on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Alum Spring Church of Christ Disciples of Christ. 11085 NC Highway 55 W. Dover, NC 28501 Ritualistic services starting at 5:30 PM by the Pride of Ft. Barnwell #515 Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. 

While floral arrangements are welcome, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Kilpatrick Scholarship Foundation at Alum Spring Church of Christ Disciples of Christ | 11085 NC HWY 55 W. Dover, NC 28526
