Ms.Carolyn Ann (King) Rufus

Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life Carolyn Ann Rufus, 70 of Kinston died on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at UNC Lenoir Health Care. 

Carolyn was born July 21, 1954, in Lenoir County to the late Rev. Albert J. King Sr. and Annie Elizabeth Goss.

 Carolyn leaves a legacy of love and memories to her two daughters, Carolyn Moore (Spencer) and Rose Rufus-Hicks (Tijuan), both of Kinston, NC; one sister, Mary King Bell of Kinston, NC; eight grandchildren: and fourteen great-grandchildren She is also lovingly remembered by her special nephew Jasper King (Janet), and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 19, 2025, in the Memorial Chapel of Trinity Funeral Service. 

Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Cemetery, Kinston. 

Public Viewing will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Friday, July 18, 2025, at Trinity Funeral Service and will resume one hour prior to the service.
