Ms.Dalvis Kennedy

Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Dalvis Kennedy, 73 of 572 Dover Ft. Barnwell Rd.  Dover died Friday, July 14, 2023, at Harmony Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Dalvis was born October 14, 1949, in Craven County to the parentage of the late Dallas Cox and Annie Mae Canady Cox.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Faydon Cox; two brothers, Matthew Canady and Richard Canady. 

She is survived by her children, Ann Gould, Carlos Castro, Libtobra Brooks, and Tasha Castro; grandchildren, Hannah Campbell, Erica Floyd, Oliva Floyd, Brice Castro, Elizabeth Castro, Darrell Downs Jr, Isaiah Swinson, Tylia Hynson;  four great- grandchildren;  six sisters, Holland Watson of Kinston NC, Eva Baker and Louise Cox Gillis both of Dover NC, Clementine Wilkins of Brooklyn, NY, Sylvia Campbell of Kinston, NC and Rena Bruton of Elcerrito, CA; three brothers, Horace Canady Jr., of Henderson, NC, Dallas Gene Cox of Albany, NY and Wade Cox (Carolyn) of Henderson, NC;  special aunt, Arthenia Starks of Brooklyn, NY; special and honorable cousin and also nieces, Brenda Jones, Benita Spicer and Clara Flowers along with a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. 

A service remembering her life and legacy will be held at a later date. 

Funeral arrangements are by Trinity Funeral Service of Kinston.
