Ms. Devon Michelle Dawson

With heartfelt sympathy and compassionate care, we announce the earthly transition of Ms. Devon Michelle Dawson,43, of New Bern, formerly of Vanceboro, who peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on Monday, May 25, 2026, while in the comfort of her home.

She was born December 3, 1982, in Craven County to Margaret Mitchell Jones and the late William James Dawson.

The service remembering her life and legacy will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 30, 2026  in the sanctuary of Queen Chapel Free Will Baptist Church 216 Bailey Lane Vanceboro, NC. 

Burial will follow in the Dawson-Moye Family Cemetery. 

The family will receive guests at the home of her mother, Eldress Margaret Jones, 1314 Antioch Road, New Bern, NC.

Family and friends will assemble there in preparation for the funeral procession.
