Ms.Joan Carolyn (Nobles) Thompson

Unite with us in prayer as we reflect on the life of Ms. Joan Thompson, 78 of 1600 Old Snow Hill Rd. Kinston died Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at UNC Lenoir Health Care, Kinston, NC.

Joan was born April 7, 1945, in Lenoir County to the parentage of the late Eddie F. Nobles and Margaret C. Rhoe.

She is survived by her children, Gene Nobles of the home, Regina Thompson, Edna Kornegay both of Kinston, NC and Joanne Burchette of Greenville, NC; three sisters, Ann McCulloh of San Diego, CA, Delores Gibson of Parsippany, NJ and Shelia Pressbury of Raway, NJ; five brothers, Benjamin Mackey of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Maurice Edwards of Bronx, NY, Gary Nobles,  Larry Nobles both of Kinston and Derrick Nobles of Seguin, TX; six Grandchildren and eight Grandchildren and a host nieces, nephews other relatives and friends 

The service celebrating her life and legacy will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 11, 2023, from Trinity Memorial Chapel.

Burial will follow in the Joe Williams Cemetery. 

Ms. Thompson will lie in state from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM Friday, November 10, 2023, at the funeral home and will resume one hour prior to the service.
