Ms. LaToya Marie (Watson) Smith

Unite with us in prayer as we reflect the life of Ms. LaToya Marie Watson Smith, 33 of Kinston transitioned May 2, 2025.

She was born June 24, 1991, in Craven County. North Carolina to Rose Lawhorn and Donnell Watson. 

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving mother, Rose Lawhorn of the home; father, Darnell Watson (Charlotte) of Snow Hill, NC; her three adored children, Janiya Smith, Ross Jr., and Raziyah Smith, all of the home; and her stepdaughter, Janquia Smith of Kinston, NC; three sisters, Jaleya Perry of the home Shaniqua Person of Greenville, NC and Cardicious Deloatch of Raleigh, NC; three brothers, Antavious Stancil of Winterville, NC, Donnell Watson, Jr. of Snow Hill, NC, and Clifton Williams of Georgia; Grandparents, Dorothy Lawhorn of Kinston, NC, Ronnie Lawhorn of Durham, NC; Frances Fordham of Ft. Barnwell, NC, and Apostle Henry Rosenboro (Pastor Katrina) of Chocowinity, NC; as well as her great-grandmother, Frances Harris Lawhorn of Ft. Barnwell, NC; Along with host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

A celebration of her life and legacy will be held 12:00 Noon Monday, May 19, 2025, in the Memorial Chapel of Trinity Funeral Service 1276 HWY 258 N. Kinston, NC.

Burial will follow in the Harris Family Cemetery, Ft. Barnwell , NC
