Ms.Sarah (Bender) Loftin

Unite with us in prayer as we reflect the life of Ms. Sarah Loftin, 85 died May 7, 2025, CarolinaEast Medical Center.

She was born November 1, 1939, in Jones County to the late Carl Bender Sr. and Delzora Bender.

Sarah is survived by her daughter, Victoria Loftin Tune of Mansfield, TX; three sisters, Mattie Jerkins, Lillian Jones, Shirley Mae Flowers all of Trenton, NC; and Pearlie Mae Murrell of Pollocksville, NC; two brothers, Charles Bender of East Orange, NJ and Carl Bender Jr of Brooklyn, NY; three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life and legacy will be held 1:00 PM Friday, May 16, 2025, from the sanctuary of the St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church. 

Burial will follow in the Haiti Cemetery. 

Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
