Join us in prayer as we remember and celebrate the life of Reverend Philip C. Jones, age 81, of Kinston, who transitioned from labor to reward on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC.

He was born June 24, 1944, in Pamlico County to the late Benjamin Jones and Norma Smith. 

The Service of Remembrance honoring his life and legacy will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 20, 2025, in the sanctuary of St. Augustus AME Zion Church, 318 North St, Kinston.

Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Kinston 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM Friday, December 19, 2025, at St. Augustus AME Zion Church, 318 North St, Kinston, and will resume one hour prior to the service.
